A Little More Angel'ing...

A call for help came from Mrs Martin a few days before Christmas - one of our Christmas Angel number, who had duly sent out her swap goodies, had not received anything in return (three weeks past the deadline!)...that Christmas Angel was lovely Shez...very disappointing...I was able to contribute "Small Applique Wall Hanging" from our item list and popped it into the post as soon as possible the next day...

I was hoping it would arrive Christmas Eve (I posted it on Saturday so fingers and toes were crossed) but unfortunately it didn't quite make it in time for Christmas Day. It did make the next delivery day which was yesterday. Shez is happy with her little present and that is all that matters.

Squishy Mail Surprise...

A bright spot this week was the arrival in my mail box of a package that had travelled a looong way....

Inside?..the most gorgeous Red Brolly girl wall hanging beautifully stitched by my lovely bloggy friend Grethe...isn't it divine...

Don't know that you can tell from the picture but the card is (oh bugger it's sideways! Kris tilt your head OK! Kris' son stop laughing at your mother!!!) so sweet, embossed with butterflies...

And then there is the back of the wallhanging...check out the label...

Canine themed! Perfect!!

Thank you so much Grethe I absolutely love it.  I have the perfect hanger in mind and it will hang in a special spot.

Off to Friday night gathering tonight, I missed going last time so it will be great to catch up...menu items are sorted - Blueberry Tart made for my contribution to tea menu and the ongoing hexie project my stitching menu for the evening.  I really really want to get those shapes stitched together so I can move on to attaching the borders because the thread I want to use to quilt it is winging it's way from across the sea.

Right back to whip stitching shapes...

An Angel To Watch...

...Over my sewing room...

This Angel has come to live at my house...she visited with me on Christmas Eve but wasn't ready to stay...yesterday she came to stay...isn't she gorgeous...I have a spot picked out in the sewing room...thank you Mistea for my Sewing Angel...

With work (normal people wind down at this time of the year, my workload ramped up!) and visitors (got to get some socialising in there to take the edge off the working stuff) I hadn't had a chance for a photo shoot of all my lovely presents from the Scquilters Christmas Stocking Swap that I got to open on Christmas Day...as soon as I got home from work this evening I went straight in and took photos so once they are organised I will be back to share those goodies...
